Whether it be big carp or monster cats Windmill Lakes have got it all. There are two lakes, both around 4 acres, both holding specimen carp, but the Top Lake also offers some serious cat fishing with large cats to 80lb plus.

You can book the whole complex (maximum 7 anglers) and fish whichever lake you like and with the lakes only a few metres apart you can still socialise whilst fishing different lakes.

Windmill is the perfect combination for a group of anglers with mixed abilities. The Main Carp Lake has a better stamp of carp whilst the Top Lake is a real runs water that also gives you the chance to catch big catfish.

Dug around 16 years ago these very attractive lakes are surrounded by poplar trees, giving a totally secluded and peaceful environment in which to enjoy a holiday. The owners live on site and are always on hand to give helpful advice and make sure you enjoy your time at Windmill Lakes. They also offer a highly praised optional food package if you don’t want the hassle of cooking for yourselves.

The facilities include a lovely lakeside chalet which if the lakes are booked on an exclusive basis comes as part of the package or can be booked separately. The chalet is situated by the side of the Main Lake, only 15 metres from the water’s edge and, being in an elevated position, has a fabulous view across the venue. The chalet sleeps up to 4 people and is fully kitted out with a kitchen area containing gas hob, fridge, sink, table and chairs. All the usual facilities of toilets and showers are also on site.

A trip to Windmill Lakes should guarantee lots of action from the large head of carp with the added bonus of a big cat.
