This superb carp water is situated just over 50 miles from Paris in the attractive "Centre" region of France. With such a picturesque lake, and in such pretty surroundings, it is the perfect venue for a really memorable holiday.

The lake itself, at 37 acres, offers plenty of room for the 16 anglers permitted each week. Every swim, many of which are doubles, has numerous features to hold fish, and there are plenty of those ... countless carp to nearly 50lbs.

But it doesn't stop there ... "Vaumigny" also contains many large catfish to over 189lbs and is home to the current, official French record Sturgeon at 97lb 1oz. All in all, there is every opportunity for all sorts of action, and lots of it!

Of course full amenities are on-site including hot showers, toilets, power points for bait-boats, mobile-phones etc. There is also a fridge and a bait freezer and just a few minutes up the road you will find a supermarket, restaurants, and local shops etc.

Free Spirit casting maestro, Mark Hutchinson and Carp Society director, Tim Wagner, recently visited the water and described their session as some of the most exhilarating, action filled fishing that they had ever experienced! Mark managed 67 takes in just five nights landing carp and sturgeon to over 54lb while Tim took fish to over 61lb. An awesome session without a doubt, Tim has had his report printed in several carp fishing magazines. Little wonder that Mark and Tim have already arranged another trip and can't wait to get back to this incredible lake.

French owner Frank Renard, a carp angler himself, will be at hand for any help or advice you may require. Frank doesn't often cast a line these days, and prefers to fish through the anglers visiting his wonderful site.
